Today’s theme for Catholic Schools Week is ‘walking together in love’. As a Catholic school we aspire to the
golden rule of ‘love one another as I have loved you’. This rule is not just for our friends and family. This rule needs to apply to everyone we meet.
St Paul wrote the following about love in his First Letter to the Corinthians :
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated,
it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does
not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the
truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures
all things.
Love never fails.
Lord, help us to show love like this. Amen.
Why not try carrying out a random act of kindness for someone today?
