Art, the end of an Era
The new academic year brought with it huge changes to the Art Department in the SHS.
The Art room was decommissioned. It took many days to clear out the room, & we left behind many beautiful murals & timelines that were
painted on the walls & presses over the years. The new Art room is currently in the new Modular buildings.
We also said farewell to Ms. Gillivan who taught in the Art department for over two decades. We thank her for sharing her skills & talents with us & our students over the years as she guided the girls through the ever-changing Art curriculum.
We hope that Ms. Gillivan, now has the time to potter, to paint, to sit quietly & ponder, to plant her garden & watch it bloom into a piece of artwork (like Monet). We wish her well in her retirement.
We warmly welcome Ms. Breslin to the school, we look forward to working with her, & also learning from her as she shares her experience, her skills, use of technology & youthful energy with us.
May the Art Department continue to grow & flourish & may the student's creativity have no bounds.
