Students of the Sacred Heart School raised a total of €2200 for two charities in the month of December. The Sacred Heart School has close links with two main charities and each Christmas fundraising takes place to support the work of St Vincent de Paul and the Westport Aror Partnership. In keeping with the spirit and ethos of the school, students from all years conducted raffles and participated in other fund raising initiatives throughout December to raise the money.
A special commendation is due to the students of 1C for the huge effort they put in. The 1C class group raised over €500 for the two charities. At a presentation, held at our end of year Carol Service and Liturgy, speakers from both St Vincent de Paul and the Wesport Aror Partnership commended the students and thanked them for their generous contribution.
The school is very proud of the students for their commitment to care for and support others in times of need.
