Congratulations to the Sacred heart Under 16 Badminton team on their victory at the All Ireland badminton finals held in Gormanstown, Co. Meath yesterday (March 19th). The girls played a number of opposing teams but were clear winners in each of their contests leading to the team being crowned as all Ireland Champions. The win was a great achievement for the team who have shown great determination and winning team spirit throughout the competition.

Congratulations and well done are also due to our under 19 team who also qualified for the all Ireland finals in Gormanstown. The team performed brilliantly throughout the competition. Unfortunately they were runners up in a very competitive field on the day.

The all Ireland winners were followed by a loyal band of supporters who competed in the annual competition for the most innovative supporting banner. The supporters were declared winners in their category for the most innovative banner design.

Congratulations to all who took part for their dedication and perseverance in what was a great day for Sport and Art at the SHS.

A special note of thanks to the team mentors Ms Tierney and Ms Mackey for their dedication and guidance throughout the competition.

Below are some photos of the days events
